Brain Portraits

Vibrant, abstract representations of the human brain, inspired by neuroscience and the stories of those living with neurological diseases. Each piece is an act of reclamation, celebrating the brain’s strength and beauty, even in the face of illness.

Outside her work as an artist, Megan also is a practicing Occupational Therapist, spending her entire clinical career specializing in neurology. Her “Brain Portraits” are a bold act of reclamation, using MRI images of brains with different neurological diseases, but reimaging them to act as a tribute — colorful, bold, and proud — every story, every mind, every journey worth honoring.

A small little gift for a dear friend that’s burned through at least half of her lives and that’s walked to hell and back more times than a human being should ever have to. Finished in a high gloss varnish to remind her of how much she shines - strokes, diseased body, and all. Grateful for your friendship, on-point sense of humour, and beautiful ability to share your vulnerabilities while simultaneously embracing the beauty this world has to offer.
