Meet Artist Megan Parker
Welcome and thank you for being here! I’m Megan Parker - I’m a visual artist and storyteller from Calgary, Alberta. Using acrylic paint, I paint bold, flowing lines to capture the movement in the landscape, mostly featuring scenes from my hiking and camping adventures with my family. Woven between the paint lines are the stories that offer insights into why these places are meaningful and what it took to get there, revealing glimpses into some of the vulnerable aspects of living with chronic illness, encouraging the viewer to remember that there is more to everybody’s story than is outwardly visible.

I am certain that the reason why my health has done as well as it has is purely because of my motivation to stay as healthy and fit as possible so that I can continue to be able to explore these stunning places.
